Privacy Policy

This is a starting template, not a finished legal document. It describes what the app actually collects and does today, in plain language, so you have an accurate draft to build from — but it hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer and shouldn't be treated as your final policy before real users sign up.

What we collect

When you create a SpotMe account, we store your name, email address, and the gyms and cities you join. If you fill in your profile, we store your bio and experience level. We store the messages and threads you post so other members can see them, and direct messages you send so the recipient can see them.

How we use it

To run the core product: showing you gyms, connecting you with other members at those gyms, and delivering threads, replies, and direct messages. We don't sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising.

Blocking and reporting

If you block another member, that's stored privately on your own account and is never shown to the person you blocked. If you report a message, the report (including a copy of the message and your reason) is stored for review and isn't visible to other members.

Where it's stored

Account and message data is stored with Firebase (Google Cloud). We don't currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

Your choices

You can edit your profile at any time from your Profile page. To delete your account or request a copy of your data, use the contact form.
